Overview

The Importer–Exporter Code (IEC) is a mandatory 10-digit identification number issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Government of India. It is required for businesses and individuals engaged in importing or exporting goods and services from India.

An IEC is needed to:
