TEXPROCIL (The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council) is a Government of India–recognized Export Promotion Council under the Ministry of Textiles. It facilitates and promotes exports of cotton textiles and related products from India.

TEXPROCIL registration provides exporters with a Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC), which is mandatory to avail export incentives and benefits for cotton textile products.

What is TEXPROCIL?

TEXPROCIL stands for The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council.
It is an organization set up by the Government of India (Ministry of Textiles) to promote exports of cotton textiles from India.

TEXPROCIL acts as a link between:

Registration Process

Step 1: Get IEC Code

Apply for IEC on DGFT portal (mandatory before TEXPROCIL).

Step 2: Visit TEXPROCIL Website

Go to TEXPROCIL’s official portal and choose:

·         New Member Registration

Step 3: Fill Online Application

Provide details such as:

·         Business name & address

·         IEC number

·         Product category (cotton textiles)

·         Bank details

·         Contact information

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload all required documents in PDF format.

Step 5: Pay Registration Fees

Fees depend on:

·         Type of membership (Merchant / Manufacturer exporter)

·         Validity period

(Usually ranges from a few thousand rupees)

Step 6: Verification by TEXPROCIL

·         Documents are reviewed

·         Clarifications may be asked (if needed)

Step 7: Issue of RCMC

Once approved:

·         RCMC is issued digitally

·         Valid for 5 years

·       Valid for 5 years

·       Must be renewed before expiry

·       Non-renewal may lead to loss of export benefits

You must have:

1.   Importer Exporter Code (IEC) from DGFT

2.   Business involved in cotton textile exports

3.   Valid business entity (Proprietor / Partnership / LLP / Pvt Ltd, etc.)
